HVAC Truck Based Mechanic Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Train on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at various client sites
• Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy (STA) to build technical skill sets
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and customer needs through coaching and mentorship
• Communicate job progress and potential issues to JCI, contractors, and customers
• Provide recommendations and quotes to ensure facility efficiency and identify upselling opportunities
• Meet all attendance requirements for required Union training during the first year

Requirements

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association (UA) union
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, and installation techniques
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to represent the company professionally
• Ability to prioritize safety in all aspects of the job
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of trade school or college experience with a technical emphasis
