HVAC Truck Base Apprentice (union)

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems under general supervision
• Perform routine service tasks including changing filters, oiling/greasing, adjusting belts, and cleaning cooling towers or coils
• Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site interface and professional service
• Identify and provide recommendations for facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities and quotes
• Complete all required project and service documentation accurately
• Mentor peers on mechanical HVAC installation and service activities

Requirements

• Must be a member of the local union or willing to join
• Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in mechanical systems, air conditioning, or a similar field
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, and peripheral equipment installation
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to represent the company professionally and support mechanics on-site
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
