HVAC Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, operation, and maintenance of HVAC testing equipment in a laboratory setting
• Build and adapt test equipment and setups for client performance testing
• Examine test samples and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets to evaluate test performance and sample operation
• Record, explain, and report test results through completed test reports and data sheets
• Conduct routine maintenance and basic calibration of designated test equipment and laboratory areas
• Communicate with customers and engineering staff regarding test methods and results

Requirements

• Vocational training or a degree in HVAC
• Universal EPA certification
• Strong electrical aptitude
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Plano, TX (2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with residential HVAC systems

• Estimated base salary range of $45,000-$62,000
• 8% shift differential for 2nd shift
• Annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5%
