HVAC Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install test units in the test facility to simulate field installation conditions, including evacuation, charging, and duct/electrical connections
• Set up test facilities and connect data acquisition instruments according to test standard requirements
• Analyze test data and perform modifications or adaptations to test units based on findings
• Utilize computer software to run the test facility, conduct testing, and collect/analyze data
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Requirements

• 2-year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated ability to read wiring diagrams and modify unit wiring and controls
• Proficiency in electromechanical troubleshooting and instrumentation
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to make decisions based on results
• Ability to lift equipment, compressors, motors, and sheet metal parts up to 50lbs
• Willingness to work 2nd shift to assist with coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional HVAC experience
