HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain all air conditioning, ventilation, and air handling equipment
• Maintain control mechanisms for HVAC systems and all boiler systems
• Diagnose operating problems, perform repairs, and replace parts as needed
• Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, materials, and tools
• Follow outlined procedures for the requisition of replacement parts
• Operate district vehicles to and from work destinations and ensure proper care of assigned equipment
• Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for students and staff

Requirements

• Formal or technical HVAC training provided by the industry
• 3 years of experience in HVAC work
• Ability to interpret manufacturer manuals regarding operation, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to organize the work of others
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clear driving record
