About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain all air conditioning, ventilation, and air handling equipment
- Maintain control mechanisms for HVAC systems and all boiler systems
- Diagnose operating problems, repair, and replace parts for all HVAC equipment
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, materials, and tools
- Follow outlined procedures for the requisition of replacement parts
- Operate district trucks and take responsibility for the care of assigned vehicles
- Comply with all safety and hazardous laws and regulations
- Work extra-curricular functions and irregular hours as directed, including weekends and nights
Requirements
- Formal or technical HVAC training provided by the industry
- 3 years of experience in HVAC work
- Ability to interpret manufacturer manuals regarding operation, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to organize the work of others
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clear driving record
