HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cooling systems by diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment
• Performing maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment
• Responding to service calls and emergency call outs in a timely manner
• Completing daily work reports accurately and timely
• Operating and maintaining a motor vehicle safely and legally

Requirements

• Universal EPA Certification (Required)
• Ability to reside within 60 miles of Batavia, New York
• Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
• Availability for occasional after-hours and weekend call outs
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in outdoor ambient temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components
• Experience with refrigeration systems
• Effective verbal and email communication skills
