HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, ductwork, and exhaust systems, according to engineering blueprints
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all climate control equipment to prevent project downtime
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems, replacing defective parts and calibrating controls
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and Site Supervisors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC infrastructure with the building’s structural elements
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental protocols, maintaining accurate logs of all maintenance and service activities

Requirements

• Trade certificate, Diploma, or equivalent vocational training in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician in heavy commercial or industrial construction settings
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and electrical wiring diagrams
• Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and modern climate control technologies
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the physical stamina to work in demanding on-site conditions
