HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance on various HVAC systems including boilers, pumps, air handlers, and cooling towers.
• Maintain and repair support components such as air compressors, dampers, coils, motors, and control valves.
• Replace piping systems by cutting, bending, and fabricating using steel, copper, and PVC.
• Ensure all equipment installations and replacements are connected using appropriate fittings specific to the material type.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent (trade school certifications may be used for credit towards experience).
• 5 years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Valid HVAC certification.
• Membership in good standing with UA Local Union 230 or willingness to join.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to pass a customer pre-employment background check for military base access.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and certifications with Siemens Apogee controls.
• Completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or equivalent formal construction safety and health training.
