HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain various HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, and refrigeration systems
• Inspect and test HVAC systems and components to identify maintenance risks and address potential issues
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, including motors, pumps, condensers, boilers, heaters, and controls
• Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system longevity and compliance with appliance standards
• Respond to emergency calls and perform quick repairs on critical equipment
• Prepare detailed records and reports regarding work performed, including types of repairs and costs
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act standards
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining necessary repairs and technical advice to stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician
• HVAC Certification/Certificate
• Strong understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Working knowledge of boiler systems
• Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
