HVAC Technician IV

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial and commercial HVAC equipment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, AHUs, split systems, and compressors
• Monitor building conditions using building automation systems and CMMS
• Conduct routine inspections, recharge refrigerant levels, and check for leaks
• Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation for work orders and regulatory compliance
• Follow strict safety guidelines including lockout/tagout and proper PPE usage

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial or commercial environments
• EPA Universal Refrigeration License or ODP Card
• HVAC System Mechanic 313A license
• Gas Tech G1 certification
• Ability to work at heights in aerial or scissor lifts (30+ feet)
• Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and complete a fit test
• Ability to obtain a security access badge and a valid driver's license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree
• Experience in GMP or regulated environments (hospitals, biomedical, or pharmaceutical)
• Experience with heavy industrial systems including steam systems, centrifugal chillers, and boilers
• Experience with vibration data collection, ultrasound testing, or predictive maintenance
• Experience using CMMS software, specifically Maximo
