HVAC Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial and commercial HVAC equipment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, AHUs, and refrigeration systems
• Monitor building automation systems to track facility conditions and equipment operation
• Conduct routine inspections, recharge refrigerant levels, and check for leaks
• Utilize CMMS to schedule and document maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout and proper PPE usage
• Respond to customer work orders and provide technical feedback

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial or commercial environments
• EPA Universal Refrigeration License or ODP Card
• HVAC System Mechanic 313A license
• Gas Tech G2 certification
• Ability to work at heights in aerial or scissor lifts (30 feet or higher)
• Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree
• Experience in regulated environments such as GMP, hospitals, or pharmaceutical campuses
• Proficiency with CMMS software (Maximo experience is a plus)
• Experience with heavy industrial systems including steam systems, centrifugal chillers, and boilers
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, specifications, and schematic diagrams
• Experience with vibration data collection or ultrasound testing for predictive maintenance
