HVAC Technician II

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and install all heating, cooling, refrigerating, and ventilating equipment on campus
• Manage pneumatic and DDC building automation control systems
• Maintain and install kitchen equipment
• Inspect work performed by outside contractors to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and all federal, state, and local codes
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
• Research necessary methods and materials to complete assigned tasks
• Plan assigned projects and assist other skilled trades in daily activities and renovation projects

Requirements

• Associates Degree or two years of trade school training (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of four years of experience as an HVAC Technician
• Valid NYS driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
• Ability to work on lift trucks up to 70 ft, on roofs, and in confined spaces
• Willingness to be on call on a rotating basis and work overtime during emergencies

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA certification in refrigeration handling
• Pesticide license for cooling tower water treatment
