About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems for City buildings.
- Service and repair boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat pumps, and geothermal units.
- Clean and replace filters, coils, and valves, and test/adjust mechanical components.
- Execute plumbing and electrical tasks related to HVAC systems, including soldering, brazing, and circuit troubleshooting.
- Utilize building automation control software for diagnostics and energy management.
- Perform preventative maintenance, maintain accurate records and inventories, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- HVAC apprenticeship and trade certification (or equivalent).
- 3 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC repair, operations, installation, and maintenance.
- EPA CFC Universal Certificate at the time of appointment.
- Valid driver's license.
