About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Maintain boilers, package rooftop systems, heat pumps, and unit heaters
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform preventative maintenance with detailed reporting
- Recover, recycle, store, and dispose of refrigerants according to environmental regulations
- Perform minor electrical repairs including controls, contactors, motors, and wiring
- Navigate, diagnose, and repair BAS systems
- Price and scope out reactive repairs and small projects
Requirements
- 313A Journeyman Refrigeration/HVAC certification
- 5 years of work experience in the HVAC field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC equipment installation
- Strong BAS controls background
- Fall Protection certification
- Confined Space certification
- Elevated Work Platform certification
- Energy Safety Canada CSO
- Class A or Class B Certificate
