About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain the safe operating condition of heating and hot-water distribution systems within district facilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating and air-conditioning components to ensure proper system operation
- Develop operational and maintenance procedures appropriate for district HVAC systems
- Evaluate new installations to verify they meet building codes and quality standards
- Implement a district-wide planned maintenance program
- Recommend the purchase of necessary supplies and equipment for HVAC maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in HVAC repair and maintenance
- Previous supervisory experience
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Ability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and maneuver materials up to 100 lbs periodically
- Ability to read and write to complete technical forms and reports
