About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, and reheat coils
- Troubleshoot temperature control issues within buildings
- Partner with subject matter experts and Reliability services to resolve operational issues
- Capture R&M data including material and contract labor costs on work orders
- Monitor and adjust refrigeration, heat exchangers, boilers, pumps, valves, and piping systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical HVAC equipment
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation for all repairs and changes
- Comply with departmental policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or state equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to operate electric hand tools and work on ladders up to 28 feet
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
- Ability to perform overhead work on building roofs
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with computer equipment and programs
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of related trade schooling or equivalent
- Boiler License or EPA certification
