HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC/R systems, including WSHP, packaged units, split systems, air handlers, and refrigeration equipment
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system specifications for proper installation and integration
• Perform preventive maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, and system optimization to reduce downtime
• Diagnose and repair system issues involving electrical components, refrigerant leaks, motors, pumps, and control systems
• Maintain large commercial systems such as cooling towers, air distribution systems, and building automation controls
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and refrigerant handling protocols
• Respond to emergency HVAC system failures and perform urgent repairs
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance documentation
• Communicate effectively with clients, building managers, and contractors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC/R service or installation
• Strong experience with large commercial HVAC systems, including cooling towers
• Hands-on knowledge of pumps, motors, air handlers, and refrigeration systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Strong understanding of HVAC codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance standards
• Ability to travel to multiple commercial job sites and transport tools/equipment as needed
