HVAC Technical Trainer

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and conduct technical training programs including outlines, handouts, and tests
• Deliver lectures on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and equipment usage
• Utilize various instructional techniques such as role-playing, simulations, and group discussions
• Administer written and practical exams to evaluate trainee performance
• Develop training manuals, guides, and visual materials
• Conduct course feedback evaluations to measure training success and identify areas for improvement
• Provide technical support and coaching to field technicians during nights and weekends
• Perform ride-alongs and site visits to assist with technical inquiries and customer concerns
• Monitor training costs and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC training and development experience
• High school GED or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Hard-working and motivated professional with a clean and neat appearance

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification
• Lead Renovator Certification
