HVAC Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify HVAC systems across the New Jersey building portfolio
• Diagnose problems with HVAC systems and provide sound recommendations to supervisors
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigerant-driven, water-driven, and glycol pump systems
• Manage minor HVAC projects and supervise larger projects involving outside vendors
• Maintain records of corrective and preventive work via automated work order systems
• Respond to campus emergency calls after hours as needed

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant HVAC experience
• 4+ years of experience as a head technician
• Advanced knowledge of BMS systems and operations
• Ability to read as-built plans, construction drawings, and technical manuals
• Current EPA card for dispensing refrigerants
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in various environmental conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• New Jersey low pressure black seal boiler certificate
• HVAC or other specialized trade licenses
