HVAC Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering and design calculations for HVAC works, including cooling load estimation and air distribution system design.
• Design chilled water and hot water piping systems.
• Select field equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation units.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for tenders and compare actual BOQs against marketing stage estimates.
• Manage tender preparation, costing estimation, bidding, and techno-commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with draughtsmen for HVAC and schematic drawings and obtain necessary design approvals from clients or consultants.
• Handle site visits, client queries, and maintain active communication with builders, architects, and consultants.
• Oversee project coordination, including vendor management, material delivery planning, and following up on purchase orders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC design calculations and cooling load estimation.
• Expertise in air distribution system design and piping design (chilled/hot water).
• Proficiency in equipment selection (AHU, FCU, Chiller, Pump, etc.).
• Strong skills in BOQ preparation, tender preparation, and costing.
• Ability to manage project coordination and vendor communications effectively.
• Experience in technical negotiation and client relationship management.
