HVAC Pipefitter

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect utility equipment including HVAC, steam, water, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
• Plan and layout installations using piping standards and work from sketches or blueprints.
• Install and repair pipelines for steam, condensate, water, gas, air, and hydraulic systems.
• Operate electric and acetylene-welding apparatus, including soldering and brazing.
• Perform routine inspections of fire extinguishers, air handling units, and dust collectors.
• Conduct pressure tests on completed work and repair pumps, seals, and valves.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA/OSHA/EH&S compliance standards.
• Work the 2nd shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Trade-school diploma in HVAC or status as a qualified Journey Person Pipefitter or Plumber.
• Minimum of 2 years of current HVAC/pipefitting experience OR a minimum of 5 years of prior HVAC/pipefitting/plumbing experience.
