HVAC Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and rework electrical and electronic systems for plant facilities, including HVACR and automated building controls
• Diagnose and correct system malfunctions using technical knowledge and test equipment to ensure optimum efficiency
• Modify, test, and calibrate pneumatic, electrical, or electronic components, including electromechanical and adaptive computer system machine controls
• Troubleshoot AC/DC drives, servo systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and direct digital controls (DDC) variable air volume systems (VAVs)
• Maintain high/low pressure chillers, refrigeration systems, and Data Center Environmental Systems
• Develop and establish methods for equipment maintenance, repair, retrofit, or modification
• Work safely in production environments that may include high noise levels, confined spaces, and heights over thirty feet

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and ladder diagrams
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Experience with relay logic, motor controls wiring, and high voltage systems
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
• Ability to work onsite in Berkeley, MO, and work any assigned shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or Trade School degree or certification
• Experience with protective relay testing
