About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians in the service, repair, design, and configuration of HVAC building control systems and low voltage sub-systems.
- Supervise and provide leadership for assigned teams, including developing performance and developmental plans.
- Design and configure technically complex building control systems, creating flow diagrams, sequences of operations, and electrical schematics.
- Develop and test software programs necessary to operate systems per customer requirements.
- Coordinate day-to-day field activities, plan technician routes, and ensure safety compliance through the Zero Harm policy.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage material selection, ordering, and tracking for assigned projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with programming, installing, and/or commissioning controls systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction, mechanical, electrical, or HVAC service industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and control theory.
- Experience with industry protocols such as Modbus, LON, or BACnet.
- Advanced computer skills, specifically with drafting tools like Visio.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or an associate degree in a related technical field.
- Understanding of IP networking for building automation systems.
