HVAC Controls Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete HVAC control systems projects.
• Manage hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and network commissioning.
• Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, and designers.
• Oversee project financials, including costs, billings, collections, and change orders.
• Develop project plans and coordinate resources to ensure cost-effective installation and completion.
• Perform site-specific training for owners and operators on total system functionality.
• Ensure all work complies with state, local, and Federal legal requirements and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of a technical Associates Degree.
• At least four years of relevant field experience.
• Strong knowledge of control theory and HVAC/Building Automation systems.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to perform work independently and manage projects with high ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with six years of HVAC industry experience.
• Experience preparing project status reports for upper management.
• Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting.
• Strong commitment to employee and subcontractor safety.
