HVAC Chiller Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, warranty, and service work on complex air-cooled and centrifugal chiller systems
• Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions
• Execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units
• Review and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues
• Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements and implementing effective safety measures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• EPA Refrigerant Certification
• 5+ years of Commercial HVAC industry experience
• 3+ years of experience with Chillers (air-cooled or centrifugal)
• Valid and current Driver’s License (must be insurable by the company)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, work on rooftops, and stand, crawl, or squat for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
• Basic understanding of building automation controls
• Knowledge of ServiceMax
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
