HVAC Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC/R staff with the general maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment
• Perform filter replacements and clean mechanical equipment
• Assist with mechanical equipment repairs and valve/device installations
• Clean mechanical spaces and equipment
• Assist with warehousing and inventory of parts
• Drive to transport tools and supplies as needed
• Solve problems in real-time and perform other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Basic safety knowledge and the ability to follow safety policies and procedures
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb ladders, and be mobile for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in confined or windy spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in the field
• Previous experience with minor mechanical and electrical repairs
• Previous experience using basic hand tools and cordless drills
