About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact supporting approximately 75 employees at the Indianapolis plant
- Partner with plant leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce concerns
- Manage employee relations matters including investigations, corrective actions, and terminations
- Support time and attendance processes, including absenteeism tracking and guidance for front-line supervisors
- Coordinate leave of absence processes and ensure proper documentation and compliance
- Collect and support payroll-related information and coordinate with centralized payroll teams
- Maintain an active presence on the production floor to build relationships
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives for plant positions
- Drive employee engagement efforts to support retention and a positive workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws
Requirements
- 4 to 7 or more years of progressive human resources experience
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment strongly preferred
- Strong experience in employee relations and supporting front-line leadership
- Ability to work independently as the primary HR presence at a location
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple locations
- Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
