Human Resources Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately, including reviewing timesheets, balancing accounts, and resolving employee inquiries.
• Administer employee health, benefit, and retirement plans, including managing enrollments, terminations, and annual open enrollments.
• Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related issues.
• Manage and maintain HRIS systems, specifically assisting in the transition from Paycor to ADP Workforce Now.
• Process monthly insurance billings and resolve discrepancies with carriers.
• Prepare and file required government reports, including EEO, ACA, and ERISA compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and provide employment verifications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Support the HR team with new-employee orientations, FMLA administration, and policy documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience in payroll and benefits administration.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional payroll or benefits certifications (e.g., APA, CEBS).
• Previous experience with Paycor or bank core systems.
