About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate employee onboarding and act as a conduit between hiring managers and new hires
- Implement employee engagement strategies and action planning
- Coordinate administrative support for engagement, new hire, and exit surveys
- Participate in full-cycle recruitment including drafting job descriptions, screening, and interviewing
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on conflict and employee relations matters
- Lead workplace investigations and facilitate corrective outcomes
- Advise on discipline and corrective actions for union and non-union groups
- Administer benefits programs and ensure employee awareness
- Communicate and provide training on the performance management process
- Support HR programs including compensation, talent reviews, and development planning
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management
- 4-7 years of human resources experience
- Experience in a fast-paced or highly matrixed organization
- Knowledge of employment legislation, ESA, and Human Rights Code
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel regularly to regional offices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the construction sector
- Experience with HRIS software
