About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Human Resources, providing professional service to internal and external customers.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, room reservations, and managing daily office needs.
- Assist with the new hire process, including I-9 coordination, background checks, and data entry into the Ellucian HR database.
- Oversee the hiring process for temporary part-time employees and supervise departmental student employees.
- Manage employee outprocessing, personnel files, and document storage coordination.
- Maintain departmental websites and produce monthly reports such as new hire and termination documents.
- Process departmental invoices, track expenses, and assist in planning training events and workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR three years of human resources, customer service, or other job-related experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or coursework in human resources.
- Experience with or knowledge of Ellucian software.
- Familiarity with working in a higher education environment.
