About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Human Resources, providing professional service to internal and external customers.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling, room reservations, and managing daily office needs.
  • Assist with the new hire process, including I-9 coordination, background checks, and data entry into the Ellucian HR database.
  • Oversee the hiring process for temporary part-time employees and supervise departmental student employees.
  • Manage employee outprocessing, personnel files, and document storage coordination.
  • Maintain departmental websites and produce monthly reports such as new hire and termination documents.
  • Process departmental invoices, track expenses, and assist in planning training events and workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR three years of human resources, customer service, or other job-related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience or coursework in human resources.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Ellucian software.
  • Familiarity with working in a higher education environment.
