Human Resources Manager/Sr. Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic HR advisor to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals and business unit needs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, specifically California-specific requirements (FEHA, CFRA, Wage & Hour, OSHA).
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, including recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and talent management.
• Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
• Support the performance management process, including reviews, calibration, and providing coaching to managers.
• Design and deliver training programs to promote awareness of HR practices and support leadership growth.
• Manage ADA accommodations, the interactive process, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• 4+ years of experience in a business partner role.
• Strong working knowledge of California employment law.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Experience working in an international company or within the pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry.
• Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP.
