Responsibilities

• Design and own structured onboarding and offboarding programs
• Manage end-to-end benefits administration and open enrollment
• Serve as a resource for employee relations and conduct investigations
• Maintain compliance with California employment law and federal contractor obligations (OFCCP, EEO-1, VEVRAA)
• Design and run performance management cycles and career ladder infrastructure
• Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
• Manage day-to-day HRIS administration and headcount reporting

Requirements

• 7+ years of HR generalist experience
• At least 3 years of experience based in California
• Deep working knowledge of CA employment law
• Experience with federal contractor compliance (OFCCP, EEO-1, VEVRAA, Section 503)
• Experience owning benefits administration through open enrollment
• Hands-on employee relations experience including investigations and terminations
• Experience operating as a solo HR professional or within a lean team
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in aerospace, defense, or technical startup environments
• Experience hiring and onboarding HR team members
