About the role
Responsibilities
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations to ensure compliance
- Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees for vacant positions
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Partners with compensation team to review job descriptions and support performance evaluation programs
- Develops and maintains affirmative action programs and files EEO-1 annually
- Coordinates training and educational activities for the plant
- Provides employee relations counseling, coaching, and corrective action administration
- Oversees and monitors Ethical Sourcing guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of experience in training and human resources
- Proficiency with computers
- Knowledge of accounting and financial principles
- Strong training, communication, and public speaking skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
