Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Administer human resource programs including payroll, benefits, and leave
- Manage disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, and performance management
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Stay updated on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least two years of human resources experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn HRIS and talent management systems quickly
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR-CA certification
- SHRM-CP certification
