About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level support and responsiveness to team members regarding HR questions and concerns
- Maintain employee records, files, and databases, ensuring all changes are processed accurately
- Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, WA Paid Family Leave, and workers' compensation
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, qualifying events, COBRA, and open enrollment initiatives
- Support employee relations by conducting investigations and assisting leadership with issue resolution
- Participate in weekly New Hire Orientation to support onboarding and company culture
- Prepare and analyze reports for leadership to support departmental and company functions
- Ensure compliance with all governmental and labor laws, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA
Requirements
- Minimum 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Experience working within an HRIS system (Paycom experience is a plus)
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Access to a reliable vehicle for visiting various bus yard and hub locations
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting and conducting interviews
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, or organizational development
