Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day people relations for NY and NJ based employees
- Manage on-site people relations including onboarding, training, and 30/60/90 day check-ins
- Oversee employee relations, engagement, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and worker’s comp
- Conduct HR investigations in accordance with State, Federal, and Local laws
- Maintain accurate personnel records in payroll and employee files
- Support operations management with promotion decisions and progressive discipline
- Foster company culture through recognition and retention programs
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of HR experience at a site with at least 50 hourly employees
- Proven knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
- Ability to be onsite 5 days per week in Bronx, NY
- Willingness to travel to the New Jersey location
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
