Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day people relations for NY and NJ based employees
• Manage on-site people relations including onboarding, training, and 30/60/90 day check-ins
• Oversee employee relations, engagement, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and worker’s comp
• Conduct HR investigations in accordance with State, Federal, and Local laws
• Maintain accurate personnel records in payroll and employee files
• Support operations management with promotion decisions and progressive discipline
• Foster company culture through recognition and retention programs

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of HR experience at a site with at least 50 hourly employees
• Proven knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
• Ability to be onsite 5 days per week in Bronx, NY
• Willingness to travel to the New Jersey location
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
