About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and labor relations while supporting leaders with sensitive employee issues
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives by analyzing data trends and improving processes
  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries and collaborate with managers to address issues proactively
  • Support organizational change initiatives and advise management on HR programs and procedures
  • Investigate employee concerns, ensure thorough follow-through, and provide HRIS support, reporting, and auditing

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • CPHR designation or actively working towards designation
  • 2–3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, specifically with Employee and Labor Relations
  • Strong knowledge of current Labour Laws, Human Rights, and Employment Standards
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and adapt to evolving priorities
  • Proficiency in project management and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as required to support organizational change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak French is considered an asset
