About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale the HR organization and function to support business growth
- Manage payroll processes across multiple states ensuring compliance
- Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate HR documentation
- Lead the full recruitment cycle from sourcing to onboarding
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace issues
- Oversee employee offboarding processes and exit interviews
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals
- Analyze HR metrics to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience including leadership
- Experience managing HR operations across multiple US states
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Experience overseeing payroll, benefits, and performance management
- Proven ability to build and improve HR processes in growing organizations
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy, solar, construction, or field operations
- Experience in high-growth or startup environments
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
- Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS and payroll systems
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
