About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Human Resources main phone line and email inbox, providing effective customer service and directing inquiries to appropriate staff.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for staff, faculty, and student employees, including managing Federal I-9 documentation and policy agreements.
- Manage employee data entry and maintain accurate digital and paper personnel files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Support HR audits related to I-9 requirements, personnel files, wage and hour laws, and employee demographics.
- Assist with employee offboarding processes, including sending notifications and compiling final benefits and payroll packets.
- Provide administrative support for Benefits & Wellness activities, including event coordination and tracking workers’ compensation communications.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent education.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in Human Resources.
- Direct experience with new hire onboarding processes.
- Experience with I-9 management and compliance.
- Proven experience in in-person customer service roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience using Paycom and Banner systems.
- Experience with employee benefits administration.
- Spanish language proficiency.
