About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support plant operations through effective employee planning and scheduling in accordance with collective bargaining agreements (CBA).
  • Prepare and post original and planned overtime schedules and update time & attendance systems.
  • Manage unplanned attendance vacancies and implement schedule changes per CBA requirements.
  • Document employee attendance, absences, and time entries for accurate reporting and tracking.
  • Coordinate union vacation selection scheduling and position bid postings.
  • Support new hire orientation, onboarding activities, and the preparation of onboarding materials.
  • Maintain employee training files, metrics, and position qualification spreadsheets.
  • Maintain employee personnel, medical, and LOA files in accordance with company and record retention guidelines.
  • Assist with employee relations activities and support internal and external audits.
  • Act as a backup for time, labor, and payroll functions.

Requirements

  • High School Education required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and HR Time Keeping Systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all departments.
