About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform all human resource functions from applicant tracking through employee termination
- Maintain accurate and current employee files
- Handle benefits administration including invoice payment, enrollments, and updates
- Process payroll
- Act as an administrative assistant to the Human Resources Manager
- Maintain the vehicle gas card system and balance checkbooks
- Work with safety director on workers’ compensation and safety records
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, and recruiting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
- High school degree or GED
- Ability to navigate a manufacturing plant environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Human Resources certifications (PHR or SPHR)
