Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files (digital and physical)
  • Track employee certifications, training records, and required compliance documentation
  • Coordinate Day 1 onboarding processes across shop, site, and office roles
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing timecards and assisting with employee questions
  • Assist with benefits and leave administration
  • Support the company's Occupational Health & Safety Program and WorkSafeBC compliance
  • Support Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings and documentation
  • Maintain controlled versions of HR forms and templates in SharePoint

Requirements

  • Formal HR education/training (HR diploma/degree, CPHR coursework, or equivalent)
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Experience supporting payroll preparation or benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of document control and confidential record management
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work on-site in an industrial manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering full-cycle payroll in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Familiarity with Canadian payroll legislation and ROE processes
  • Experience maintaining training matrices or certification tracking systems
  • Exposure to HRIS or payroll systems
