About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare HR documents for new hires, rehires, employee changes, terminations, and employment confirmations
  • Support onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, profile updates, and payroll coordination
  • Administer employee benefits processes, including open enrollment, annual reconciliation, and employee inquiries
  • Support 401(k), RRSP, and related retirement plan administration
  • Maintain accurate employee files, records, and HR system data
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Support payroll and timekeeping processes through accurate information and coordination
  • Assist with workers’ compensation, insurance, and return-to-work documentation
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, payroll, recruiters, and site leaders

Requirements

  • Experience in HR administration, benefits coordination, payroll support, or a similar HR role
  • Experience with benefits administration, ideally including open enrollment support
  • Proficiency using HR, payroll, or timekeeping systems such as ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, or Kronos
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and service-focused approach to supporting employees and leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, payroll, accounting, or a related field
