Human Resources Business Partner

Responsibilities

• Identify talent needs, risks, and gaps to maximize team performance
• Develop career paths, engagement strategies, and succession planning
• Act as a culture champion to enhance employee engagement
• Serve as a confidential resource for employee relations and conduct investigations
• Lead change management initiatives and communication plans
• Implement and maintain scalable HR programs and processes
• Partner cross-functionally with site leadership and the internal People team
• Manage employment law compliance and leave administration
• Oversee administrative routines including orientation, pay changes, and data maintenance
• Ensure safety and compliance with GMP, biosecurity, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Development
• 7+ years of experience as a strategic HR Business Partner
• Experience supporting production, distribution, or high-growth environments
• Experience managing large populations of hourly employees
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law and leave policies
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid state ID and driver’s license
• Ability to obtain and maintain state badging for the cannabis industry

Preferred Qualifications

• SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
• Experience leading in union environments
