About the role
Responsibilities
- Support performance evaluation cycles, including timelines, monitoring completion, and assisting staff with system needs
- Maintain HRIS data integrity (PeopleSoft) by entering and auditing staff, attorney, partner, and alumni data
- Manage performance and compensation tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and supervisory relationships
- Maintain confidential HR files and documentation in accordance with departmental standards
- Respond to employment-related inquiries via department email and phone, providing guidance on benefits, payroll, and policies
- Coordinate administrative processes such as business card ordering and the monthly service award program
- Prepare employment-related correspondence, including verification-of-employment letters
- Provide administrative support to HR leadership through document preparation and scheduling
Requirements
- 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail regarding data integrity
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and attorneys
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple administrative workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms
- Completion or ongoing pursuit of a Professional Human Resources certification
