About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support performance evaluation cycles, including timelines, monitoring completion, and assisting staff with system needs
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity (PeopleSoft) by entering and auditing staff, attorney, partner, and alumni data
  • Manage performance and compensation tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and supervisory relationships
  • Maintain confidential HR files and documentation in accordance with departmental standards
  • Respond to employment-related inquiries via department email and phone, providing guidance on benefits, payroll, and policies
  • Coordinate administrative processes such as business card ordering and the monthly service award program
  • Prepare employment-related correspondence, including verification-of-employment letters
  • Provide administrative support to HR leadership through document preparation and scheduling

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail regarding data integrity
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and attorneys
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple administrative workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms
  • Completion or ongoing pursuit of a Professional Human Resources certification
