About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support major HR initiatives including ERP implementation, classification and compensation studies, and workforce development planning
  • Maintain continuity of service across core HR functions such as benefits administration, leave management, and employee relations
  • Conduct market analysis, including compensation and benefit surveys, and prepare classification review recommendations
  • Assist with personnel policy development and support the labor negotiations team
  • Prepare performance management documentation and research equal employment opportunity issues
  • Coordinate the maintenance of documents related to investigations, grievances, and misconduct allegations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology, or a closely related field
  • At least four years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate HR programs and identify compliance gaps
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, external consultants, and vendors
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and complex HR programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in the public sector
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementations
  • Specialized experience in classification, compensation, or labor relations
