About the role
Responsibilities
- Support major HR initiatives including ERP implementation, classification and compensation studies, and workforce development planning
- Maintain continuity of service across core HR functions such as benefits administration, leave management, and employee relations
- Conduct market analysis, including compensation and benefit surveys, and prepare classification review recommendations
- Assist with personnel policy development and support the labor negotiations team
- Prepare performance management documentation and research equal employment opportunity issues
- Coordinate the maintenance of documents related to investigations, grievances, and misconduct allegations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology, or a closely related field
- At least four years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate HR programs and identify compliance gaps
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, external consultants, and vendors
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and complex HR programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in the public sector
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementations
- Specialized experience in classification, compensation, or labor relations
