About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department
- Compile and process new hire paperwork and maintain accurate employee records
- Order and track pre-employment drug tests and background checks
- File personnel records including I-9s and EEO forms
- Respond to employee inquiries via phone, email, or in person
- Handle employee terminations and ensure all required paperwork is processed
- Maintain HR spreadsheets and track attendance and PTO records
- Process payroll for permanent employees in coordination with Accounting
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of customer service or relevant business experience
- Knowledge of standard office administrative practices
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer and telephone skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
