Human Resource Generalist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding for manufacturing positions.
• Provide employee relations support, including performance management, coaching, counseling, and conducting investigations.
• Administer HR programs such as FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, employee wellness initiatives, and retention programs.
• Assist the HR Manager with drafting and implementing company policies and procedures.
• Manage compensation and benefits administration and provide guidance to employees and supervisors.
• Process time clock hours for payroll and maintain accurate employee files.
• Support the plant safety program and participate in coordinating employee events.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive, professional-level Human Resources experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and unemployment regulations.
• Proficiency with Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) and general computer literacy.
• Ability to work onsite in Meadows of Dan, VA, and occasional travel to other company sites.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build working relationships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
