About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate recruitment and onboarding processes, including civil service hiring pools and job postings in STARS and NYCAPS
- Process personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, leaves, and separations
- Liaise between employees, managers, and agencies to coordinate personnel matters
- Maintain accurate personnel records and conduct electronic and paper audits for reconciliation
- Draft personnel correspondence, instructions, proposals, manuals, and guides
- Coordinate and conduct exit interview sessions for departing employees
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree and two years of experience in community work or related activities; OR
- High school graduation and six years of experience in community work or related activities; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least one year of experience meeting the baccalaureate requirement
